  2. Plan Last Rites For Dosia Woody Parker


    Mrs. Dosia Woody Parker, 72, of Montevallo, died Wednesday at the Nevada hospital of a heart attack.

    Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Montevallo Baptist church. The Rev. S. E. Barker of Bolivar, will officiate. Burial will be at Newton Burial Park in Nevada.

    Mrs. Parker was born, September 9, 1877 in Cedar county. She had spent most of her life near Montevallo. She was married to James W. Woody, August 3, 1893. He died in 1945. In May, 1948 Mrs. Parker married J. L. Parker. She was a member of the Baptist church.

    Survivors include her husband of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Gertrude Edith Hamby of Nevada and Mrs. Gladys Hall of Kansas City, Kansas; three sons, James C. Woody of Monett. Emery Woody of Sheldon, and Hobert Woody Montevallo; one sister, Mrs. Jennie Morgan of Muskogee, Oklahoma; two brothers, Enoch Rector of Des Moines, Iowa, and Guffy Rector of Rector of California; also nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
