2-1-2004 Darrell my name is Tiffany Taul and I am orginally from Bath County I found your information listed on Tanzy Warner I have taken care of the Greencrest Cemetery which is located in Owingsville on the Byron Farm since 2000. And I know that Tanzy Warner is buried in the Greencrest Cemetery and she was married to Will Warner who is buried in the Warner Cemetery the information on her death Certificate does not match. I just was wonder where or how you got your information. I have also checked this with my Grandmother whom has given me the whole connection. Thanks Tiffany Taul

2-4-04 Hi, yes Tanzy Warner does have a head stone in the Greencrest Cemetery located in Owingsville. The Cemetery is located at the end of Oberlin Ave.on the Byron property. Yes I am related, I can't explain how without the help of my Grandmother Virgina Johnson Taul who lives in Owingsville. I called her Saturday night when I found the posting and she explained to me how we were all related. She also told me that the reason that Mrs. Tanyz wasn't buried in the Warner cemetery was that at the time when she died the cemetery was being worked on and they couldn't get in to bury her. But she was supposed to have been buried there beside her husband Will Warner. My mother who is now deceased(Olivia Ann Reed Taul) had taken my sister & I to the Warner Cemetery when we were childern to show us the slave section of the Cemetery she had often told us that the slaves that were buried there were related to us. Now the Estate of Jacob Warner I looked at the old picture of the house, wasnt that house on over the hill in the bottom from the cemetery and couldn't you see it from the interstate??? If so then I can remember the house as a little kid. Tiffany Taul

2-4-04 Hi Tiffany, Sad to think that Tanzy did not get to be buried by her husband. I have no idea where William is buried in Warner Graveyard. There is no stone for him. Do you have any idea if the name Brady was his middle name or a nick name? Can you check with your Grandmother and see if she knows where William's father Jack was buried. His wife Eva was buried in Warner Graveyard so I am guessing he was too but I would like to have some kind of proof.

The pictures of the house on my website is the house that you referred to. It was built by the original Jacob Warner's grandson who was also named Jacob Warner. That line descended from Jacobs son William. The original house that Jacob Sr. lived in was burned down a quite few years ago. No one knew of the historical importance at the time. I was across slate creek from the brick house. There was a bridge at one time. I found where it was on an old map.

My line descends from Jacob's son Jonas. Jonas did not believe in slaves from what I can tell and William did. William had more property from what I have found. It looks like most of the slaves remained with Williams son Jacob after the war. Jonas had five sons who fought for the Union. There was also another cousin from a different line who fought for the Union. I have always been proud to know that the line I descend from took the right path back then. No one else in the family fought in the Cival War that I can find.

I would love to know how you are connected to the tree so I can add you in. Even though I have no blood ties to you or this line of Warner's I find it to be of historical importance to track this line as the Warner name does come from the Slaves that took it.

Thanks again for contacting me and sharing your information.

Looking forward to your reply, Darrell Warner
