"Stephen Boynton ... died previous to 1779, because his widow Tabitha Foster Boynton, was married to Levi Bixby on the 2d of May 1779. Her third husband was Benjamin Eddy. As both Bixby and Eddy, her second and third husbands, resided on the Boynton place, by the great elm, it is probably that Mrs. Eddy held the property from her first husband, Stephen Boynton..."
She may be the Tabitha Foster, d/o Benjamin and Lucy Foster, b. Townsend, Mass., 2 Dec 1750 per Townsend VRs? I cannot find any mention of her in Source:Pierce, Frederick Clifton. Foster Genealogy or other source to confirm this.
