    [Note: the birth Wheeler gives for Sybil is only 8 1/2 months after sister Sarah, whose birth is recorded. This seems unlikely at this late stage of her parents' childbearing years. The age at death (plus her marriage record and various censuses) calculates to about 1845 which fills a nice gap between Darwin in 1842 and Sarah in 1847 where one would indeed expect to find another child since the family appears to have an otherwise regular sequence of births. It is suspected that Wheeler's date is a typo or mis-transcription of 1845.]
