John Pleasants, of "Pickanockie," son of Joseph Pleasants and Martha Cocke married Susanna Woodson, daughter of Colonel Tarleton Woodson (grandson of Stephen Tarleton, of the family of Colonel Banatser Tarleton, the famous British partisan) and Ursula Fleming said to be descended from Sir Tarleton Fleming, second son of the Earl of Wigton (Judge William Fleming and Tarleton Fleming who married Mary Randolph, where of this family).
