JOHNSON, Susanna, w. Jonathan, bur. Sept. 26, 1770. PR6 [PR6=Common-place book of Richard Pratt now in possession of Walter Hawkes, i.e., here ]
↑ The Find A Grave memorial has no gravestone image, wasn't aware the date was a burial date until informed by another person, and gives a birthdate of 8 Jul 1733 in Lynn which isn't found in Lynn, rather in Andover VRs, p. 132: "–––––, d. John and Sarah, July 8, 1733." This was probably the Sarah who d. 1738 for which no other birth record is found: (Vol. 2, p. 428) "Sarah, d. John and Sarah, May 27, 1738." Given that the name was not specified, it was probably usurped by someone looking for a birthdate, and then replicated by various blind copiers.
It is often stated that Susannah was the daughter of Matthew Farrington of Lynn. A Matthew Farrington m. 1727 Sarah Newhall, but no children are recorded to them in Lynn, and no probate is found. The basis for this assertion is unknown.
