Parentage

Donovan (History of Lyndeborough) states Susanna is the daughter of Jonathan Whittemore & Elizabeth Downing. Morrison (Kimball Gen v1 p 371 reads in full

"Jonathan Kimball7 born in Amesbury, Mass., Oct. 25, 1770; died Weare, NH, Jan 1 1834; married Aug 3, 1778 Susanna Whittemore, born Lyndeborough, NH, Aug 3, 1778; died July 4, 1814, daughter of Jonathan and Elizabeth (Lewis) Whittermore; married 2d, Betsey Pope of Henniker, N.H., died Henniker, Sept. 11, 1865."

Donovan's subject is the town and undoubtedly had access to their records. Morrison is writing of a family seven generations from the progenitor. In the NEHGR "The Whittemore Family in America" 108:165, Whittemore states Susanna, dau of Jonathan Whittemore and Elizabeth.
