Obituary MRS. DANIEL LASER Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at Salem Evangelical church for Mrs. Daniel Laser, who died at the home of her son, George Laser, of Nappanee, after an illness of almost a year with sugar diabetes. Rev. A.A. Knepper of the First Evangelical church of Mishawaka, who was formerly minister of Salem Evangelical church in Bremen delivered the sermon. Susan Sherk was born March 3, 1879 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and died at the home of her son, George Laser, at the age of seventy-two years, three months, and four days. She came to this community in her youth and has spent most of her life in Bremen. She was united in marriage with Daniel Laser on December 21, 1879. Six children were born to this union, five of whom survive, and one of whom died in infancy. Mr. and Mrs. Laser celebrated their golden wedding on December 21, 1930. Mrs. Laser was a member of Salem Evangelical church for many years and an active member of its Ladies' Aid society. Mrs. Laser is survived by her husband Daniel Laser of Bremen; three sons, Clarence Laser of Bremen, George Laser of Nappanee; two daughters, Mrs. Bertha Mikels of Mishawaka and Mrs. Daisy Larson of South Bend; nine grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and three brothers, George Sherk of Bremen, Simon Sherk of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and Jack Sherk of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
