    Mrs. Susan Katherine Young, age 95 years, 1 month and 4 days, died Saturday at the home of her son, W. R. Richie, of Holland, with whom she made her home. Her death was due to complications of old age.

    Mrs. Young was born at Finley, Tenn., and was first married to Jim [sic] Richie, and to them were born two sons, John and W. R. After the death of Mr. Ritchie she was married to Dr. Thomas E. Young, and they moved to the vicinity of Steele 70 years ago. Dr. Young was one of the first physicians to settle in this vicinity. Four daughters were born to this union. Mrs. Young had been a member of the Church of Christ for 81 years.

    She is survived by the two sons, John, of Indiana, W. R., of Holland, four daughters, Mrs. John Griggs of Holland, Mrs. Zuma Way of Oklahoma, Mrs. Lillie Moore and Mrs. Ella Strickland of Steele; thirty-three grandchildren; forty-five great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

    Funeral services were held Sunday morning from the home of her daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. F. M. Strickland, just west of here, conducted by Elder Thomas C. Whitfield. With the German Undertaking Co. in charge burial was made in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
