She is named Submit Hawks alias Grout in the distribution of her father's property (Hampshire Probate, box 69, file 26). This is mentioned because Source:Morse, Abner. Genealogy of the Descendants of Capt. John Grout, p. 38, provides misleading information, saying she was b. Deerfield "about 1735", d. 1817, clearly contradicted by the facts.
