"Mrs. Fletcher's father, Thomas Head [Heal], was a successful farmer of Georgetown. He served as Selectman of Arrowsic and Treasurer of Georgetown. He died January 16, 1871, aged seventy-two years. Of his three children the only survivor is Mrs. Fletcher.
"William Head [Heal], the grandfather of Mrs. Fletcher, and John Head [Heal], his father, were both by occupation farmers. William had five children, of whom one is living, Washington Head [Heal], of Georgetown; and John Head [Heal] had eight children, who have long since passed away, The first of the family ancestors who came to this part of the country is said to have settled on the banks of the Kennebec.
