4. ↑ This birth date is suspect, as the online trees seem to have conflated him with a Jacob Adams, with no evidence for an exact birth date for either Spencer or Jacob. In particular, a query in the Virginia Genealogist in 1982 and 1983 says this Spencer Adams had a deed in Loudoun Co., Va., in 1769.
