TILLAMOOK, Ore.---Mrs. Sophia R. Severance died here April 16 after several months' sickness. The cause of death was cancer of the breast. She, with her husband, came to Yamhill county, Ore., in 1886, and the following year to Tillamook. She was postmistress from 1888 to 1892, having resigned; afterward was secretary for several cheese factories for a number of years. Mrs. Severance leaves, besides her husband, one son, Egbert D. Severance; one sister, Mrs. Joseph Severance of North Yakima, Wash., and two brothers, H. E. Weston of Tillamook and I. F. Weston of Motley, Minn. |
