SPEARS, deceased; born Dec. 15, 1812, in this precinct; son of Solomon, who was born March 1, 1790, in this county; he was a son of Jacob Spears, a native of Pennsylvania, and emigrated to Kentucky, and settled in this precinct at a very early day, locating on the farm now owned by W.H. Thomas, and built one of the first still-houses in that part of the county;
