7 Jun 1785: Petition of Edmund Blood, Samuel Gragg, Job Shattuck Jun'r that Simon Blood of Groton "has been Considered as a Non Compos person ... that Josiah Sartell Esq'r late of Groton Deceased ... that the s'd Blood has buried his wife who was the Great Support of the Family & now will attend to no good advice ... therefore we the subscribers, sons in Law of the said Simon" request a suitable person be appointed guardian.
