Case T-58 Taft Silas Richmond 1811.

Will of "Silas Taft of Richmond", dated 16 Feb 1807, proved 17 Oct 1811, names grandson Josiah Taft; grandsons Levi and Phenihas Tafts; daughter Rachel [Morey?]; granddaughter Mary Taft; granddaughter Lucy Taft. Oldest son Ephraim Taft to be executor.
Undated (warranted 18 Oct 1811, exhibited Mar 1812); Inventory of Silas Taft late of Richmond deceased: $247.71, by Moses Tyler, Edmond Ingalls, Joseph Weeks.

  3. Source:Bassett, William. History of the Town of Richmond, Cheshire County, New Hampshire : From Its First Settlement, to 1882, p. 496, misidentifies Silas Taft, calling him s/o Stephen and Mary Taft, b. 1744. But clearly a person b. 1744 could not have married in 1748/49, nor had a child in 1749. The Silas born in 1744 was a nephew of this man.
