    Sarah married at Providence 2 December 1784 Shubal Coffin, born in 1739; death recorded at Nantucket, MA 23 February 1817; son of Zacheus and Mary (Pinkham) Coffin. Shubael was a descendant of Tristram Coffin, founder of the family in America, who emigrated in 1642 and settled on Nantucket in 1659. Shubael was known to be of Sherbourne, MA at the time of his marriage to Sarah.
