George Pitkin, 1776, under George Cone and Col. John Ripley, 1777, under Lieut. Allen and Col. Wolcott, Sept, 1777. Under Capt Marsh and Col Belden, 1780. Under Capt Booth, 1781. Shem settled in Wapping, CT and built the Shem Stoughton house.
