Shawn was born March 2, 1960, in Yakima, WA, to Edward andKatherine (Kitty Stephenson) Andreas. He spent his childhood at the family farmworking alongside his father and often spoke of it fondly.
In 1969 Shawn’s family moved to Ellensburg, where he attendedschool through high school. Shawn enjoyed fishing with his father and friends,hunting, water skiing, snowmobiling and many other outdoor activities. Aftergraduation, Shawn worked in road construction, moving to Yakima, theTri-Cities, then Puyallup, rising to supervisor. His work took him many placesthroughout Washington and Alaska. He retired from Woodworth & Co. inTacoma, WA. After retiring Shawn moved to Otis Orchards, WA, and then DeerPark, WA, where he and his wife, Annette, ran a horse training center. The lastfew years of his life were spent training and showing horses throughout thecountry. The horses became a very important part of his life.
Shawn is survived by his wife, Annette (Bodin), and childrenKindra (Seattle) and Ryan (Ellensburg), sister, Patty Andreas-Cramer,(Spokane), Mike Andreas, (Long Beach, CA), Dan Andreas, (Yakima), as well asmany aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
There will be a memorial service in Deer Park at Zion LutheranChurch, Thurs., Oct. 11. There will also be a celebration of life in Ellensburgat the home of special friends Monte and Toni Snowden on Oct. 27th. All friendsand family are invited and welcome.
