    "Welles, … David, m. Sarah Woodhouse, Jan. 13, 1757 [JL:23]"

The 24 June 1774 will of Joseph Woodhouse of Wethersfield mentions Prudence and Thomas Wells, grandchildren. This abstract of that will does not mention, by name, either David Welles or Joseph's daughter Sarah. It is possible, even likely, that the Sarah who married David Welles was the daughter of Joseph, born 1726, since the next oldest Sarah whose birth was recorded in Wethersfield was not born until 1759.
