    'HAMMACHER, JOHN [son of Peter and Elizabeth (Shaefer) Hammacher], was born in Pennsylvania, in February, 1799. He was married to Sarah Wildfong, sister to old Joseph Wildfong of Strasburg, Ontario. She was born August 24th, 1807, and died May 18th, 1867. They resided in Wilmot Township, about a mile east of Wilmot Centre, where he was the possessor of a beautiful farm. He died June 27th, 1885.'
    The second oldest child was born Oct 1825.
