    Sarah D. White, daughter of Gordon White and Anna Diddle White, married Joseph Henderson on 29 Jan 1824 in Blount Co., TN. The Henderson Family was an affluent family from Greene County, Tennessee. Their expansive property and Mill became known as Henderson Station, Henderson Mill 1836-1866 and was the muster location for many Confederate Soldiers. After the war, severe measures were imposed on those who supported the Confederate cause. Their property was later sold at auction post Civil War period 1868 and purchased by then President Andrew Johnson and deeded over to his daughter Margaret Johnson Patterson and her husband Judge D.T. Patterson, now consisting of the town of Afton, Tennessee. legosnell
