    ORIGIN: Bicton, Devonshire
MIGRATION: Sarah Upham, aged 26, was enrolled 20 Mar 1634/5 on the Marygould at Weymouth, Dorset, as a passenger for New England, along with her brother John Upham and his family.
MARRIAGE: By about 1641 RICHARD ORMSBY.

Sources cited for her marriage to Richard Ormsby are Mayflower Quarterly 49:172 (see separate citation); The old families of Salisbury and Amesbury, Massachusetts by David Webster Hoyt, p. 267; and Genealogical Dictionary of Maine and New Hampshire by Sybil Noyes, et al, p. 520. Neither of the latter 2 sources identify Sarah, the wife of Richard Ormsby, as Sarah Upham, but Hoyt lists the 3 sons of Richard and Sarah Ormsby (John, Thomas, and Jacob) mentioned in the will of Joanna (Upham) Martin (see Mayflower Quarterly 49:172).

child of Richard and Maria Upham of Bicton, Devonshire:
'Sara, per[haps] m. Richard Webb; emigrated to New England.'

This is why some trees show that Sarah Upham married Richard Webb. However, the will of Joanna (Upham) Martin (see Mayflower Quarterly citation) indicates that Sarah married Richard Ormsby.
