The Identity of the Wife of Samuel Spencer

Lucius Barnes Barbour, in Families of Early Hartford, 557 calls this woman Sarah Meakins or Richards. The Meakins identification is based on John Meakins' 1702 will which mentions his daughter Sarah Spencer. However, that Sarah Spencer was wife of Thomas Spencer, son of Obadiah, son of Sergeant Thomas. Torrey lined through the Richards surname and added "no."
