    "Sarah4 Shelton (Elizabeth3 Welles, Capt. Samuel2, Gov. Thomas1), born 2 January 1694 in Stratford, Connecticut (Barbour citing LR 2:483a); and died before 4 December 1780 when her will was proved. … The will of Sarah Waklee of Stratford was signed by mark 19 July 1775 and proved 4 December 1780. It names sons Ebenezer and James Waklee, daughter Abigail Waklee (probably the widow of her son David), grandsons Elijah Waklee and David Waklee, son of her son David, deceased, grandson Daniel Waklee, son of James Waklee; and daughters Sarah Hecock; Martha Jones; Elizabeth Johnson; Mary Perry; Abigail Shelton [sic]; and Charity French. It names son James as executor and is witnessed by John Shelton, Abijah Shelton, and Ebenezer Shelton. A distribution of her estate was registered 31 August 1787 (Fairfield Probate District, Connecticut Estate Files, docket no. 6523)."
