Thursday, 18 Oct 1962, Section 1, page 2MRS. SALLIE S. WALTERMrs. Sallie S. Walter, widow of Allen H. Walter, of 515 west Fifth street, Pennsburg, died Saturday while visiting at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Benner, Telford. She was 83 years, nine months, 29 days old. born in Marlborough township, Montgomery county, she was a daughter of the late William and Mary (Schwager) Schaffer. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Sumneytown. Surviving are four sons, William, of Spring Mount; Edwin, Tylersport; Allen, Pennsburg, and John, Sumneytown; three daughters, Elizabeth, wife of Elmer Benner, Telford; Clara, wife of James Hendricks, Shippensburg, and Sallie, wife of Arthur Yerk, Sellersville, R. D.; on sister, Mrs. Fannie Breyer, Sumneytown; 40 grandchildren, 74 great-granchildren. Services were held yesterday afternoon in St. John's Lutheran Church, Sumneytown, with the Rev. Lee Angstadt officiating. Interment was in Frieden's Union Cemetery. Funeral Director T. Howard Benner, Red Hill, was in charge of arrangements.
