According to the 1981 Sallie DeWitt geneology and the Barbara (Beachum) Kanipe Family Bible, Melinda and her son, Charles Henry DeWitt (Sr.), moved from Ohio with her parents, Solomon and Mary, to Crawfordsville, Indiana. She later married Daniel Kennedy and had one son by him. As of 2007, I have yet to find the first name of her first husband, father of Charles Henry DeWitt.
