Goodrich, Sarah, Wethersfield. Invt. £3272-01-07. Taken 16 December, 1747, by Nathaniel Stilman, Thomas Welles and Jonathan Goodrich. Will dated 9 November, 1747.
I, Sarah Goodrich of Wethersfield, widow, do make this my last will and testament: I ordain the Rev. Mr. James Lockwood, Col. Elizur Goodrich and Hezekiah May sole executors to this my last will, enjoyning them to receive all my just debts, dues, my bonds, notes or otherwise, and also to pay and defray all my just debts and funeral charges due from my
estate. I give to my beloved sons John and David Goodrich all my lands lying in the Townships of Wethersfield and Middletown which descendeth to me by my brother Elisha Mix decd, and which I purchased of my sister Christian Mix, to be equally divided between them. I give to my son David my silver tankard. I give to my son John so much out of my moveable or personal estate as shall be equivalent to the tankard I have given to my son David. I give to my son Samuel Goodrich 3 pewter basins, one square table, half a dozen chaires, a paire of hand irons, a fire shovel and tongs, a pewter pott, a pillion and an old trunk. I give to my sd. sons John and David all my moveable or personal estate not yet mentioned that shall be remaining after my just debts are paid, equally between them.
