A nine month old boy named George Medhurst was also buried on 20th July 1817 at Speldhurst. This burial has been linked to the Sarah Medhurst baptised at Frant in 1813 on the basis that a newspaper article of 1831 (transcribed on her father's page) says that her parents had six children living with them at that time. The other six children who had been born to the couple by that time can be shown to have all still been alive, implying that Sarah had died. Her father also claimed to be from Tunbridge Wells, which straddled the parishes of Tonbridge, Frant and Speldhurst.
