county, Mo. ; m 29, Jan. 1901, Clarence Herbert Berry,
b 15, Feb. 1873, Callaway county ( son of John Berry
and Mary Suggett. gr-parents, Edward 6. Berry and
Sally A. Galbreath). He was educated at Westminster
College where his father received his literary instruc-
tion. Leaving college in 1892, he became a farmer and
cattle feeder, and has made quite a success in the busi-
ness world. His sister married John Harrison, who
Math a brother, Thomas, constituted a saddle horse firm
at Auxvasse which during the close of its twenty
years existance, was considered the largest in
the world. They sold 800 saddle horses, won 1,600
prizes and $20,000.00 in money, according to the Mis-
souri Book, by Williams. Another brother, Charles, is
a civil engineer of considerable note, he was instrumen-
tal in tunneling under the Hudson River for the railroad
and made an estimate of the cost of the Panama Canal
for the Government. Mrs. Berry was graduated from
Synodical College (Fulton, Mo.) in 1898, she took a
thorough course in Art later, and taught water-color
and oil for a number of years. Mr. and Mrs. Berry live
in McCredie, Mo.
