Note: I don't trust the information at Find A Grave[2], which might not be based on a gravestone (no photo of one). It has Sarah as the wife of Lewis Jackson Armstrong (her brother-in-law) and mother of Elsie Litherland (married to W S Barney in 1895[3]). Elsie is called Elsie Armstrong at Find A Grave, and was born more than a year after Lewis Jackson Armstrong died. Sarah was single in the 1880 census[4], and Elsie was not part of the household. Note: Elsie's death certificate indicates that her son Anson did not know the names of either of her parents[5].
