I'm related to Alfred G. Lane and Mariah Pate.The had a son named Alfred VanBuren Lane and their daughter Sarah E. Lane was my g-grandmother who married my g-grandfather Benjamin F. Bennett.What do you need????? I'm not familiar with Martin VanBuren Lane. Do you know who his father was or his siblings??? Greg Henderson

    "Mrs.Bennett's Funeral Held: Service Held at Salvation Army Hall with Ensign Tolcher in Charge"

    Funeral services were held this afternoon at the Salvation Army Hall for Mrs.Sarah E. Bennett 53, who died at her home, 407 1/2 Fifth Street Saturday afternoon.

    Besides her husband, B.F. Bennett, she is survived by two daughters.Frankie Taylor of this city and Mrs. Mollie George of Matador Texas,a granddaughter Thelma George and a grandson, Bennett Henderson of this city. Mr. and Mrs. George came up Sunday to attend the funeral.

    The services were conducted by Ensign Tolcher. The pallbearers were Frank Metcalf, Lewis Schoopman, John Fox, Jr., Earl Fox, Ellsworth Dexter,and Edwin Griswold. Burial was made in Highland cemetery with Ritters in charge. The many friends of the family sympathize with them in their bereavement.
