[Note: this appears to be two different families. All other births in this time period, before and after, are simply Samuel and Elizabeth, and appear to belong to Samuel Johnson and Elizabeth Kendall. No marriage is present in the records (unless the name of the parents is misrecorded, and it is meant to be Samuel Johnson and Hannah Wyman who m. 1751, or some other couple). There is a Samuel Johnson and Elizabeth Gage in Andover, but they have births in Andover before and after this so no real reason to think this is them. We know from Elizabeth's father's probate (Person:Nathaniel Kendall (2)) that his estate paid a legacy to John Bruce and John Bruce married 1770 Sarah Johnson, we just don't know which of these two births is the correct Sarah Johnson until we can identify which set of parents is Sr. and which set is Jr.]
