    Sarah was afflicted with the bronchial asthma from early childhood, but it did not daunt her. She pulled her share of the load with home chores whenever she was able to do so. She was renowned for making patch-work quilts and when she passed away it was remarked with reverence by a relative who admired her manner in which she coped with her affliction all the many years, "It's to be sure God will have patch-work for her to do in Heaven". Sarah never married.'
