Leonidus Hughes married Ottilla Wooldridge, daughter of Joseph B. Wooldridge. Leonidus was born May 11 1876 and died May 11 1956 in Faubush, Pulaski County, KY. Buried in Burnetta Cemetery, Pulsaki County, KY.

- The oldest was thought to be either Emmett or John Hughes. - Cyrenus Wright Hughes married a Nelson and to them were born 2 sons and six daughters. - James Hughes was killed in a duel at Lebonon, Kentucky, when a young man but he also killed this antagonist. - George Hughes was killed in the Civil War on the Union Side. - Albert G. Hughes also married a Nelson and had 3 sons and 2 daughters. - A. Hart Hughes had six children. He squandered about $10,000 on drink. - Sally Hughes married Feeling G. Coffey and they had 4 sons and 2 daughters. - Spencer Boyd Hughes married a McBeath. They had 2 sons and 2 daughters. - Abner J. Hughes -

George, Abner, James and Spencer Boyd Hughes were in the Civil War. According to information from military records:

- Geroge K. Hughes was a 1st Lieutenant in Company K 13 - James Hughes served in the 6th Kentucky - Spencer Boyd Hughes served in the 3rd Infantry Company G as a Sergeant and 2nd Lieutenant.

- Spencer Boyd Hughes was 17 years of age. He was living with a Dunbar. - Abner J. Hughes was 22 years of age. - Albert G. Hughes was 30 years of age. His wife Margaret, was 28 years of age and they had a son William aged 3 months. - C. W. Hughes was married to Julia. There were two children Laura Lee age 2 years and mary Ann age 1 year.

In 1915 most of the Hughes descendants were in fairly good financial circumstances and most of them were farmers although there were some military officers and some teachers. Most were Baptists.
