Lieut. Jonathan Houghton m. ."2, 22, 1742" [sic - see marriage page explaining this date is bogus, intentions published in 1746] Sarah Houghton, b. "5, 2, 1723", d/o James and Sarah Houghton [sic - on p. 96, Sarah is shown with a birth date of "12, 4, 1723" (and her sister "5, 24, 1725"), but this is incorrect, as her sister was born 4 Dec 1725, while Sarah was born 24 (not 2) May 1723 according to Lancaster Records].
[Houghton's confused presentation is made more confusing by an entry on p. 311 showing the Children of James Houghton [#37] and Mary: 1) Sarah, b. "5, 23, 1723", m. "3, 4, 1742" Jonathan Houghton, s/o Lieut. Jonathan. On p. 304, this James is said to have married "10, 8, 1725" Mary Jones of Concord, i.e., 2 year after Sarah was born. The marriage of James Houghton and Mary Jones in 1725 is found in Concord VRs (p. 106), but again, the birth of Sarah in 1723 would be 2 years before that date, and is recorded as 24 May, not 23 May, and her birth record names her mother as Sarah. No marriage in 1742, on any date, is found for Jonathan or Sarah Houghton. How much credibility can this source be given after such a cacophony of errors?]
