    "123. Sarah Hawes5 (Isaac4, Desire Gorham3, Desire2 Howland, John1) was born in Chatham, Mass., 31 May 1719, the daughter of Isaac and Bethias (Howes) Hawes. Sarah died in Haddam, Conn., 7 April 1788, at 68 years of age."

    The sketch goes on to state that no real proof of her parentage has been found, but the the circumstantial evidence clearly supports that identification.
