"Mrs. Sarah Davis, 72 years old, died at the residence of her son-in-law, Fred Rebson, 2613 Market street, East St. Louis, at 11 o'clock Friday night. She was born in Calloway county, Missouri, and formerly resided there.
She is survived by three sons and one adopted daughter. Her sons are Charles and Alfred Davis, here, and Commodore, in Centralia. She also leaves one sister, Mrs. Ada Franzer, here. Her husband preceded her in death about eight years ago. The adopted daughter is Mrs. Mary A. Dove.
The funeral will take place at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon, under the auspices of Lincoln Lodge, No. 1259, K. & L. of Il., from the residence of her son, Chas. A. Davis, 510 West First street, to Walnut Hill Cemetery."
