  4.   Source:Pierce, Frederick Clifton. History of Grafton, Worcester County, Massachusetts, from Its Early Settlement by the Indians in 1647 to the Present Time,, p. 469, tells us Ebenezer's wife's name is Sarah Fletcher of Concord without identifying her. This is known simply from the marriage record. Her age at death suggests a birth about 1690, leaving 2 candidates: Sarah, d/o Samuel and Elizabeth, b. 19 May 1690; and Sarah, d/o Joshua and Grissel, b. 21 Jan 1690/91. Other Sarah's don't match the age at death as well. But the latter one of the two above is of Chelmsford, and m. 1709 Thomas Reed, leaving only the daughter of Samuel and Elizabeth. Samuel doesn't seem to have a probate file.

Wheeler identifies the parents of Sarah, which is known from the birth record, but not who she married. Source:Cutter, William Richard. Genealogical and Personal Memoirs Relating to the Families of the State of Massachusetts, Vol. 4, p. 2599, identifies the wife as Sarah Fletcher, d/o Francis of Concord. But her birth in 1668 makes that improbable. Source:Volpe, Carolyn Crosser. Ancestors and Descendants of Minnie Hale Gorton, p. 185 identifies the parents of Ebenezer Brooks' wife as "Samuel and Hannah (Wheeler) Fletcher", but that may be a typo, as the line above it says "Samuel married an Elizabeth Wheeler". If not a typo, the daughter of Samuel and Hannah Fletcher (of Chelmsford) was born in 1686, so doesn't match the age at death well.
