    "On page 69 of the Mathew Grant Church Record is this item: 'Richard Saxton marryed sara Cook. Aprell. 16. 164_' The final figure in the year is so faded as to be illegible. In volume 1, page 61, of Births, Marriages and Deaths in the Windsor Town Clerk's Office the date of marriage is given as April 16, 1647. The question of Sara Cook’s parentage remains unsolved. … [footnote] Nathaniel Cook of Windsor was an appraiser of her estate. Savage in his Genealogical Dictionary of New England, vol. 4. p. 32, conjectures that she may have been Nathaniel’s sister but no evidence to connect them has been discovered."
