"born at Charleston, R.I., May 13, 1758. In 1805 he removed to Blandford, Mass where he had a large farm. His wife, who was Sarah Clark was born December 28, 1762 and died in Blandford, April 2, 1846, aged eighty-four years. He died in Blandford, October 27, 1840. Served in the Revolutionary War as Private in Captain Amos Green's company of Militia under command of Colonel Joseph Noyes. Receipt dated Charleston."
