On 16 September 1739 Rev. John Hancock, minister of the First Church of Braintree, said in his Centenary Sermon: "Mrs. Sarah Penniman youngest daughter of Deac. Samuel Bass and relict of Deacon Penniman and formerly wife of Deac. Stone, is now living and was at our communion today. She was baptized in this church 30 April 1643, received communion May 6th 1662. She is now at least in her 97th year." [4] From the notes of Rev. Mr. Hancock's two Sermons it appears that she was the first recorded child baptized by Rev. Henry Flynt, whose records began 30 April 1643 and continued to 1 March 1667/1668, but are now lost.

There is no record of her death.
