BIOGRAPHY: Our Footprints and Footprints of our Parents A Smead Genealogy Compiled by Edwin Billings Smead Greenfield, Mass. 1928 Page 12 Samuel Smead, son of (William 2, Judith 1); house was burned Feb. 29th, 1704; his wife and two children were smothered in the cellar. He married Mary, daughter of Robert Price, Mar. 17th, 1669. He married (2) Mary, daughter of Daniel Weld, and widow of David Alexander, born Mch. 30th 1667. He died in Wapping Jan. 1st, 1730-1. She married (2) Nov. 28th, 1734, to Joseph Younglove; she died after 1734.
