Georgia Ann, 60, Boaz Rt2, died yesterday afternoon in a Boaz hospital. Survivors, husband, Marvin NIx, daughters, Mrs. Mary Ruth McCormick, Boaz, Rt 6, Mrs. Patrica Nix Boaz; Mrs Martha Acker, Crossville, sons Thomas Earl, Nix, Albertville, Foney Nix, Jr., Boaz, seven grandchildren, brothers Rube Brandon, Boaz, and Bill and Fred Brandon, both of Crossville. Services will be tomorrow at 1 p.m. at Mt Pleasant Baptist Church with burial in adjoining cemetery Actual copy of the Gadsden Times Newspaper for Monday September 23, 1963, was supplied by Elizabeth Mintz on 4 April 2005. SAMUEL ELZIE NIX BOAZ- Funeral services for Samuel Elzie Nix, 31, Boaz Route 1, who died Saturday of gunshot wounds. were to be held to day. Services were to be conducted at 2 p.m. at Whitesboro Baptist Church, the Revs. Robert Jones and Brown Hallmark officiating. Burial was to follow in the adjoining Cemetery. Carr-Brown service directing. He is survived by his parents, Mr and Mrs Freeman Nix; two sisters, Mrs Robert Tidwell and Miss Sharon Nix, both of Boaz Route 1. and grandparents, Mrs. Florence Leeth of Whitesboro, and Mrs H.H. Robertson of Anniston. |
