9. Samuel MARRS. Samuel died in November 1825 in Mercer County, Kentucky.

On June 25, 1810 Samuel married Jane JOHNSON, daughter of Robert M. JOHNSON Sr. (~1760-1824) & Elizabeth RYAN, in Mercer County, Kentucky. Born on February 5, 1797 in Mundays Landing, Mercer County, Kentucky. Jane died on March 26, 1852; she was 55. Buried in Shawnee Run Church Cem., Mercer County, Kentucky.

She is not on the 1850 Mercer Census - could be in Boyle Co with one of her children. We believe that her birth is several years before 1797 but that is what is listed on her tombstone -

They had the following children: 11 i. Juretta (~1811->1879) ii. Elizabeth. Not found on the 1850 Mercer Census or a marriage of an Elizabeth Dodd to anyone aft 1834 Mercer Co Marriage Records: Lewis Dodd - Elizabeth Marrs 28 Oct 1834 Bo: L.C. Thomas (Lewis Clark Thomas - son of John Thomas) Bride's mother who consents: Jane Marrs Witt: James Turner

On October 28, 1834 Elizabeth married Lewis DODD, in Mercer County, Kentucky. 12 iii. Henry Munday (1818-1850) 13 iv. Robert James (1820-1858) v. John. Having a hard time seperating this John Marrs from his cousins of the same name. He sells land after his mother died that he had inherited.
