He was stationed at Camp Ross which was the chief depo. His company was ordered to stay there to receive provisions from boats.
He was a 2nd Sgt. In Cpt. John Hawkins Co. from Bledsoe Cty
He served until the Creek Indians were conquered at the Battle of Horseshoe Bend

1850 census lists him as 49 years of age. (1801) pension records list his birth as 1789. 1860 census lists age as 70 years of age. (1790) 2 of three sources indicate 1789-1790 as age.
