Samuel A. Gaumer was born March 25, 1851, in Southampton Twp., Somerset Co. and died March 21, 1925 at Boswell, Jenner Twp., Somerset Co. He was married to Susannah Albright, d/o Jacob C. and Hannah Hoyman Albright, who was b. 29 Nov 1853 in Bedford Co. and d. 20 Oct 1876. He was a carpenter and Justice of the Peace. After Susannah's death in 1876, he married second to Mary Elizabeth Kennell, d/o Levi and Catherine Beal Kennell, b. Jan 1858 and d. 1919. This second marriage produced seven children.
