His will, dated 29 Nov., 1748, mentions himself as of Ipswich; wife, Sarah; sons Samuel, David, eldest son, Daniel, to have the homestead in Ipswich; son-in-law Jacob Perkins; daughter Mary Perkins; granddaughters Mary and Mehitable Perkins; grandson Benjamin Safford (Essex Probate 334:493). His home, after 1712, was in Ipswich Village, near the Rowley line.
