Probably of Halifax, Yorkshire, England since his sister Grace Deane married there 28 Nov 1640 Jacob Ferrer. But not mentioned in will of Grace's father John Deane dated 2 Geb 1623 [posthumous? or not this family?] Received house in Jamaica 1 Mar 1657. Was in Lancaster Mass in 1685. Died Jamaica 28 Aug 1707. Listed at Quaker meeting 9 Jan 1661 with wife Elizabeth, speculated to be daughter of Richard Claymore because he bequeathed to Samuel Mar 1663.

  3.   Quoting from Source:Judd, Peter Haring. Four American Ancestries, "Henry B. Hoff in an unpublished manuscript ... asserts [the Samuel Deane of Jamaica, Long Island] has been wrongly confused with a Samuel Deane of Stamford, Conn." This page is the Samuel Deane of Jamaica whose wife is named Elizabeth. I moved the daughter Sarah to this page from the Stamford family as her death date identifies her thusly. No research has done to check which other children may or may not belong here or there.
