    [Note: this poorly-written, confused, passage is full of uncertain antecedents, but also contains an error in naming Capt. Samuel Dagget, instead of Capt. Arthur Daggett (see Sutton VRs, same page cited below). Arthur died in 1775, not during the French and Indian War. Samuel Daggett died in 1782 and was survived by his wife Lydia who was the administrator of his estate (Worcester Probate 15074).]
